DJ to my Heart

[The scene is a loud concert, a showcase of talents, the music thumping and near deafening and the crowd clearly enjoying themselves. Jumping, dancing, bumping against one another, just enjoying everything that comes on next. There's one girl here who's waiting for something specific - though of course she loves every other song that's mixed in and dances with enthusiasm to them all. But it's nothing compared to when the song by her favorite artist finally blasts through the speakers.

She screams with the rest of the girls in the crowd, jumping for a few beats before relaxing into actual dancing. And boy she can cut rugs with the best of 'em, lighting up the dance floor - literally, as she's covered head to two in glow sticks and lights and even her cowl neck sweater has a neon glow to it - and obviously enjoying herself. She's more than willing to dance with anyone who wants to join her, and same with converse if you can yell loud enough over the music.]
dramadeity: just blame her bad behavior on her twin sister from the Parent Trap. I mean nobodys seen her since. (I don't get why Lindsay Lohan doesn't)

[The music pumped through the whole concert, pulsing as the people throughout the floor danced energetically among the mobs and flashing lights. An idiot (by onlookers) who wore sunglasses inside the already dark room weaved around the mass of dancing bodies. He slowed to a stop as a new song was put on and the crowd got even more wild. He raised an eyebrow at this reaction. Interesting~ He wasn't too pleased how long it took him to finish this mix but apparently the fans had no problem with it.

A girl nearby was dancing it up like mad to the beat, clearly enjoying his latest hit. He smirked before feeling a tap on the shoulder and turned to find another girl eyeing him curiously. She asked loudly over the music why he wasn't dancing. Wasn't he enjoying the music by Turntech? Bam. Perfect opportunity to test the waters. He speaks clearly and loud so he can be heard over the music by her, and maybe by a few others near by.]

Nah. This mind numbing shit isn't my jam. It's all over the place like he has no idea what he's doing. I honestly don't get why it's so popular.
dramadeity: It was one of me naked riding a unicorn with a wizard hat and a magic staff. And the unicorn had wings. And me too. (Too bad my picture didn't come thru.)

[The girl who asked, stomped away in a huff. However, the bouncy girl covered in glow sticks screeches to a halt in her sick dance moves. He grins at how fiercely she defends his other persona.]

Hey, hey. It's just my opinion...A very educated opinion seeing as I make music. In fact, one of my own tracks is playing at this very concert.

[It's not like he was lying about it. But he decides to cut the feisty girl some slack. Plus she looked like the kind who would throw punches if he kept messing around.]

But hey, like you said. What do I know? But you must really like this Turdtech guy if you defend him so quickly. Long time fan or something?

[Thank god he was wearing his glasses. He's sure he would look completely spacey right about now. Here was a chick you gets it. It was like she knew exactly what he needed to hear.]

That's...Hmm.

[Here he was, always worrying about the meaning, or 'lack' of one in his music. But it seemed that was exactly what fans like this chick loved about it. It was honestly the most reassuring news he had in a while. And now he was standing there speechless like an idiot. Damnit he was a total idiot.]

That's some opinion. Seems like I could learn a lot from just listening to what others think.

[He gives a grin; he probably sounds like he's being a sarcastic douche, but he meant it. Maybe he should poke around more on the fan forums. With that thought, it was best to head out and leave. He really only meant to stay to observe the reaction of his newest mix. A reaction indeed.]

Welp, gotta run glowstick chick. I'll probs see you at the next concert, if you're as big of a fan as you say.
dramadeity: on the sidewalk again, shirtless, soaking their feet in pool and listening to loud ukulele music. I want their life. (The stoners next door have their couch)

[What a fan, she never missed a beat with his bullshittery. He grins as he walks back home from the concert. Maybe he was bored already, or maybe he still wanted to mess with his 'biggest fan', but he logged into his Turntech twitter a few hours later and sent out a tweet that was sure to get her thinking.]

First Tweet
~Yo, thanks for all the people who showed up for my latest track.~

Second Tweet
~Special shout out to glowstick girl for liking my music more than i do. Keep on busting out those sick dance moves.~

[With those sent, he set to work back at his apartment, making the bare bones of a completely new song for next concert. Hell maybe more than one. He felt motivated now thanks to some random chick. He wanted to impress her...or something. He still wasn't sure. All he knew was that he had three months for next concert where he had been collaborating with the managers to actually perform live. He never performed live. It was part of his ironic 'mystery' bullshit. But now it felt time for a change. He'd surprise his fans next concert with several sick new beats and the actual appearance of Turntech. Maybe he'd see his Glowstick Muse again. Who knows?]
